KINDS OF BULLIES
- Physical Hitting, kicking, any aggressive physical contact with the victim.
- Verbal Uses words to hurt or humiliate someone, such as name calling, insulting, taunting, constant teasing and racial remarks. This type of bullying will cause emotional effects that can be more devastating than some physical abuse.
- Relational Convince their peer to reject a certain person or people to cut victim off from their social connections.
ODDS AND ENDS
Parents of bullies usually support their child’s aggressive behavior toward other children, and often bully their own child.
Most children learn to control their anger and fighting instincts as they grow older, but not the bully.
The United Nations Charter of Rights for every child, in part, states “every child has the right to an education and every child has the right to be safe.”
Most victims suffer in silence, which is just what the bully wants. The victims are usually too embarrassed and humiliated to report it. UNLESS SOMEONE INTERVENES, THE BULLY WINS (that someone could be you!).
Bullies seek power.
