WHAT IS BULLYING
Plain and simply, it is a negative act or words by the bully to hurt, embarrass or humiliate another person. The act is intended to put the victim in distress in some way.
Why do Bullies Bully?

Bullying is a power difference between the bully and the victim. The bully may be bigger, tougher, physically stronger, or be able to socially exclude and intimidate other.

DID YOU KNOW?

  • By age 24, 60% of bullies have at least one criminal conviction.
  • Victims of repeated bullying sometime view suicide or violent revenge as their only escape.
  • Bullying occurs once every seven seconds.
  • Most incidents go unreported.
  • Left unattended, bullies continue to bully and victimize throughout their lifetime.
  • Some children have no escape, and they do not survive the torture and humiliation of bullying.
  • The effects can and will last a lifetime for the victims.
